Researching the life cycle of horticultural crops to give back to agriculture
We are conducting comprehensive research on the life cycle of horticultural crops, including vegetables, flowers, and fruit trees, from germination to aging, with the aim of giving back to agriculture. In particular, we are aiming to apply a long-term pollen preservation method proven for Cucurbitaceae pollen such as watermelon and bitter melon to other plant species without using organic solvents, and are conducting research on the differences in growth of horticultural crops under various environmental conditions and their mechanisms.
We are also conducting joint research on soil conditions and other cultivation conditions with Padjadjaran University in Indonesia, with the aim of reconstructing the strawberry-producing area that once existed in the village of Bardua in Garut Regency, West Java.
